Welcome to the 2011-2012 PTGO Website!

The Cameron Park PTGO supports the community of Cameron Park Elementary School, a K-5 public school located in Hillsborough, NC and part of the Orange County Public School System. We provide enrichment materials, programs and activities not funded by our typical public-school budget. Additionally, we provide volunteer support for teachers and staff of Cameron Park.

SPRING FLING ON APRIL 27, 2012 WAS A HUGE SUCCESS

The Spring Fling on April 27th, 2012 was a huge success. Thank you so much to all the staff and volunteers for their many hours of hard work. A special thank you goes out to Amy Hughes, our faithful Fundraising Chair for the last 3 years. Amy has spent hundreds of hours planning and preparing fundraisers that have many lasting benefits for our students! THANKS AMY AND THE FUNDRAISING COMMITTEE!

You can tell the weather is getting nicer, as we hit a new record attendance low of 20. Those not helping to set this record were: Jeff Barger, Sue Brooks, Sheri Caligan, Rob Cardone, Eric Davis, Carrie Feehan, Kristi Geib, Fran Hall, Ellen Haver, Lisa Irby, Amy Hughes, Corly Jones, Lin Kerns, Laura Nicholson, Lynn Pinnell, Ron Sellers, Craig Tucker, Julie Vandiver, Maggie Weinstein, and Russell Westbrook.

3rd Grade wins the Read-a-Thon

***10/15/2011 CONGRATULATIONS TO THE 3RD GRADE FOR WINNING THE READING ROAD TRIP!! OUR 3RD GRADE CLASSES READ AN AVERAGE OF 14,009 PAGES PER CLASS AND WILL WIN AN ICE CREAM PARTY!! GO THIRD GRADE THUNDERBIRDS!!!***

The Read A Thon has been a HUGE success....to date we have made over $32,000. We are still accepting money.

The All-School Assembly will be held on Friday, October 28th and Top Readers will be announced. All Prizes will be handed out that day. Reminder to parents: If you have not turned in your money your student will not receive their prizes.
