3rd Grade wins the Read-a-Thon
***10/15/2011 CONGRATULATIONS TO THE 3RD GRADE FOR WINNING THE READING ROAD TRIP!! OUR 3RD GRADE CLASSES READ AN AVERAGE OF 14,009 PAGES PER CLASS AND WILL WIN AN ICE CREAM PARTY!! GO THIRD GRADE THUNDERBIRDS!!!***
The Read A Thon has been a HUGE success....to date we have made over $32,000. We are still accepting money.
The All-School Assembly will be held on Friday, October 28th and Top Readers will be announced. All Prizes will be handed out that day. Reminder to parents: If you have not turned in your money your student will not receive their prizes.

CPES READ-A-THON: Reading Road Trip, Fuel Your Love for Reading
We're trying a new thing at Cameron Park this year. Instead of the standard Catalog sales this Fall, PTGO decided to raise desperately needed funds for our school while simultaneously encouraging our students to read more. It's a Win-Win situation for the PTGO and Cameron Park students!
FUNDRAISING GOALS
The PTGO would like to raise $15,000 through the Read-a-Thon. If we meet our fundraising goal, Mr. Westbrook has agreed to dress up like a girl for an entire day. If we are able to raise $20,000 this year, Mr. Westbrook will also get into a dunk tank at the Fall Festival. Many thanks to Mr. Westbrook for being such a good sport and helping to motivate the kids!

Week 2 Totals: The 4th Grade Charging Cheetahs have certainly charged into first place this week followed by the 3rd Grade Thunderbirds in 2nd place. The Kindergarten Corvettes, 1st Grade Firecrackers, and 2nd Grade Speedsters are neck in neck to take third, fourth, and fifth place. Bringing up the rear again are the 5h Grade Ferraris... come on Fifth Graders and turn in those Reading Logs!!!
Week 1 Totals: The 1st Grade Firecrackers have exploded into first place followed by the Kindergarten Corvettes! It's a close race for third and fourth place between the Fourth Grade Charging Cheetahs and the Third Grade Thunderbirds. Just behind in fifth place are the Second Grade Speedsters and lagging along in sixth place are the Fifth Grade Ferraris. Let's go 5th Grade and ACCELERATE your reading!
